Lake Beryessa Fishing Report
Lake Beryessa continues to fish slow. Bass anglers are doing all right with Smallmouth. Big mouth can be found on points using Senkos and swimbaits. Trout, Kings, and Kokanee are hard to come by right now. Nate with Big Nate's Guide Service and other guides are fishing Lake Camanache, Bullards Bar, and New Melones. So that is our recommendation. Go for a bit of a drive and have a great day on the water. Berryessa is clearing up, but the lake needs another week or two before it starts fishing in earnest. We'll keep you updated.
Napa River Fishing Report
The river fishes pretty well as things are clearing up. Stripers are beginning to chase rattletraps, but using live/cut bait is still your best option. Use live ghosts, grass shrimp, pile worms, or split tails, if you can find them. Frozen anchovies and sardines are solid producers as well. Sturgeon bite continues to be spotty, but anglers are finding them. If you own a boat with a fish finder, cruise around until you find a few sitting on the bottom, anchor up, and cast to them. Change spots in 30 minutes if you get no bites. We'll be out there early next week and will provide a more thorough report.
Live Bait Update
We expect to have Live Grass shrimp, and Live Ghost shrimp Friday late morning. Likely no pile worm this week, but we are working on it.
